Should I ever create a zodiac calendar, 2009 will be the “year of the camp”. While 2009 certainly wasn’t the birth year of grass roots tech events, it was a takeoff year for the BarCamps that influenced the rise of Code Camps, Cloud Camps, Social Media Camps, LaidOff Camps, and any other Camps I forgot to mention.
Code Camps and User Group meetings are the new Bally’s and Gold’s – they’re around every corner and fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it) this leaves us with zero excuses for not getting more involved in our South Florida tech communities!
Now is a great time to reflect on what we’ve accomplished during the previous year. At the very least, whatever wasn’t accomplished will serve as great resolutions for next year. So, if you didn’t get to as many tech events as you may have wanted, might I suggest staying tuned to these organizations…
Of course, I’ll do my best to keep you apprised via https://borndigital.com/event/south-florida.
