Ryerson Digital Media Zone Launches New Website

Ryerson Digital Media ZoneRyerson University’s Digital Media Zone (DMZ) is a workplace designed for young entrepreneurs, infused with the energy and resources of downtown Toronto. It’s a place where students and alumni come to innovate, collaborate and market their products and services, and where commercial enterprises can turn to for progressive and creative digital solutions.

Ryerson students and alumni are motivated by being surrounded by intelligent, ambitious individuals striving to grow their businesses. There is a fire that is lit as entrepreneurs began to start their journey as innovators. As the ideas transform into business plans and execution becomes critical, there are obstacles that many entrepreneurs face.

To support these entrepreneurs, there are resources that guide and foster the success of these businesses. StartMeUp Ryerson helps entrepreneurs turn their ideas into reality. StartMeUp provides resources such as educational events presented by industry experts, a VIP mentorship program, hosts the Slaight Communications $25,000 Business Plan Competition and gives Ryerson’s brightest the access to the Ryerson Angel Network (RAN). In addition, there’s access to a flexible workspace, the latest equipment and networking and industry showcasing all at no cost!

The Ryerson DMZ just launched a new website to showcase hot Toronto startups being incubated in the Zone. With the launch of current startups such as TeamSave and Burstn and upcoming launch of SoapBox, there is a lot of excitement and anticipation in the air.
