Sales & Marketing Advice for Tech

On February 19th the British Columbia Technology Industry Association (BCTIA) is running a full-day marketing symposium specifically tailored for sales and marketing representatives of technology companies. We all know that even the best sales pitches and marketing plans can fail if there is little cooperation between the sales and marketing teams.

Hear renowned keynote speaker Jakki Mohr talk about how to effectively deal with complications in sales and marketing arising from disjointed channel strategies, diffused communication strategies, or incompatible compensation systems, and how to maximize returns from your sales and marketing efforts.

In addition to a top-notch keynote speaker, the lunch menu includes a new BCTIA feature called 20 Topics @ 20 Tables where attendees will have an opportunity to choose to sit with one of 20 local sales & marketing experts and pick their brains. So far the lunch expert line-up includes Richard Sharpe, Marqui’s Director of Marketing, Rob Scott, Business Objects’ VP NA Mid Market Sales, and Robin Jones, The Active Network’s Director of Marketing.

The first 100 registrants will receive a copy of keynote speaker Jakki Mohr’s book Marketing of High-Technology Products and Innovations and event organizers tell me they are still a few attendees short of this number. In addtion, if you register before January 25th, you save $50 off the registration fee.
