Science World’s Geodesic Ball Promises Sophisticated Fun for the Scientist in All of Us

Remember 1989?

Leg warmers and parachute pants were in. Minesweeper represented the forefront of video game technology. Michael J Fox went Back to the Future (again!). And, most important, Science World opened its doors for the first time. And while some of these icons have faded into the past, Science World has remained at the forefront of informal science and technology education.

On Friday, October 17, science and technology aficionados will join Science World for a night of fun and reminiscing in celebration of Science World’s 25th Anniversary under the dome. In true Science World fashion, this event will involve time travel, according to organizers. Attendees are encouraged to wear cocktail attire as it travels well.

All proceeds will go towards creating Science World’s new Early Learner’s Gallery, a research-based exhibition space that will educate and inspire our youngest scientists. Enjoy food from Culinary Capers, taste wine from  Road 13 Vineyards, savour beer from Parallel 49th Brewing, and experience a cocktail from Central City Brewers & Distillers.

The Geodesic Ball is “guaranteed to sell out,” organizers affirm, so purchase tickets now to avoid missing out. Tickets include appetizers, dinner, drinks, and “teleportation to the future.”
