Last year research form Deepfield published a report showing just how big a deal Cyber Monday is for retailers.
This year was no exception, new sales records being set not just for Cyber Monday but even on American Thanksgiving.
For this year Deepfield decided to do something slightly different than last year. They picked out a number of interesting popular shopping sites and compared them on Cyber Monday and Black Friday.
The graph below shows the number of unique IP addresses that visited one of the sites below at least once in the 24-hour period for each day.
Not surprisingly it found that Amazon dominates Internet retail. But #3 on the list is Canada’s favorite e-commerce hosting site Shopify. The Ottawa-based e-commerce platform placed third ahead of Walmart, Target, and Sears.
