Starbucks Canada says that its mobile ordering feature, Mobile Order & Pay, will be available to users in all remaining Ontario cities starting March 15.
The Mobile Order and Pay feature is integrated into Starbucks’ app and loyalty program.
“The simple, convenience of Mobile Order & Pay means customers can bypass the line,” says Jessica Mills, director Brand and Digital, Starbucks Canada. “This represents a significant opportunity for us to enhance the customer experience and save our busy customers some time.”
Today, mobile payments represent 18% of all in-store transactions in Canadian Starbucks stores and more than one million Canadians are active My Starbucks Rewards members.
Starbucks also recently announced that it is changing the terms of its rewards program. The Seattle-based coffee brand says its loyalty program will award stars based on dollars spent starting in April at all its Canadian locations.
