Suit Yourself with Indochino

I challenge anyone to come up with a better tagline than Suit Yourself for Victoria-based startup Indochino. Indochino is bringing made-to-measure suits to the masses via the Web and it looks like they’re well on their way with the launch of their new site. I had the pleasure of chatting with Co-Founder Kyle Vucko last month and promised to give Indochino a plug here once I had a chance to test drive the ordering process and try on my new threads. I’ll still be sure to report back on my experience but thought that since Jevon MacDonald of StartUpNorth covered Indochino’s launch on the weekend, I’d leave it up to him to fill in the details.

An entire suit, which looks pretty good in the pictures on their site, will cost between 250$ and 350$ Canadian. Their pricing is no-nonsense, duties are taken care of and if you need to have further alterations done, Indochino will pay your tailer up to 25$ for the work. Delivery time is 2 weeks from your order, and that includes being hand-tailored in Shanghai, China. The market for a service like this is huge. Every large city is full of middle aged and younger men who want to look good, but really don’t feel like shopping all the time. If Indochino can find a way to open up this market, then their business will grow dramatically.

If you want to give Indochino a try, you can either wing it on their site and place your order in minutes or pick out a couple suits you like and request some fabric swatches and a measuring tape. I’ll report back once I’ve suited myself.
