TalentSpring utilizes semantic for resume matches

Wrapping up the pre-lunch Search & Information Resources session is TalentSpring and their CEO Bryan Starbuck. TalentSpring provides recruiters and HR professionals with an advanced SaaS-based candidate sourcing solution that utilizes semantic search technology to find resume matches for their open positions.

TalentSpring’s service automatically reviews an organization’s open job descriptions, identifies the relevant attributes being sought (experience, skill, location, education, etc.), and then matches those attributions to thousands of resumes found on social networking sites, job boards and the client’s applicant tracking systems. Results are ranked and ordered based on candidate quality and relevance, saving recruiters and hiring manager’s time, improving hire quality, and reducing overall time- to-hire.

TalentSpring is in beta trials with 50 companies and forecasts to be cash flow positive in December 2009. Starbuck is looking to raise $500K in addition to the $1.6 Million previously raised via Second Avenue Partners.
