Tech Pulse provides coverage of Kitchener-Waterloo’s most innovative companies

Looking to keep up to date with what’s happening in the Kitchener-Waterloo tech scene? I imagine you are — if not, why the heck are you reading Techvibes?

But if you’ve got the itch for more coverage on one of Canada’s most vibrant technology communities, check out Tech Pulse, a new web series covering the Kitchener-Waterloo region. Companies and people, up-and-comers and successes will all be covered in this new web series.

Tech Pulse is created by Modevation Media, a company that specializes in “dynamic video production” and event videography for organizations in Ontario. Modevation has generally been involved in corporate videos up until this time. The host of the program is Emma, who takes viewers behind the scenes at innovative companies within Kitchener-Waterloo along with the Tech Pulse field reporters.

The first episode starts off with coverage of Social Media Ventures, a network of local professionals who use the power of social media to advance philanthropic causes. Next, viewers get an inside look at Communitech’s 2011 Tech Leadership Conference, which took place on March 2nd; the Conference aims to create more successful tech businesses in Canada by getting companies to think outside the box. The final segment is an interview with Clevru founder and CEO Dana Fox. Clevru is an e-learning company that has designed a teaching platform that allows teachers to provide learning materials to students in other countries, and even in different languages.
