Many entrepreneurs found startups with dreams of being acquired, and many who don’t end up seeking exits anyway. In Canada, global respect for creative talent and innovative technology is growing—and, as a result, our exit numbers are swelling.
Back in June, editor-in-chief Rob Lewis assembled the Techvibes’ Comprehensive list of Canadian Tech Acquisitions. Amazed by the growth trajectory, we decided to take it a step further, creating the 2011 Tech Acquisitions Tracker. Now, I’ve gone ahead and compiled our data, and turned it into an infographic titled The Rise of the North. The past half-decade of technology acquisitions in Canada paint a very bright future for our proud country.
If you’re interested in tech exits and acquisition’s in Canada, it’s worth picking up a copy of the freshly published Northern Exits: A History of Technology Company Acquisitions in Canada on Amazon for only $3.99.
