The third annual Wavefront Wireless Summits, slated for February 4 to 6 in Vancouver, is a technology leadership conference focused on strategic business transformation enabled by wireless and mobility solutions. The conference is divided into two content tracks: Machine-to-Machine Wireless Business.
The M2MSummit brings together the key players and emerging stars who are driving the world’s next big technology evolution: The Internet of Things, while the Wireless Business Summit tackles tough mobility topics facing business leaders today in keeping pace with the rapidly changing global business landscape.
The event boasts a robust lineup of speakers across both tracks, plus a solid string of keynote presenters. Here are some of the ones we’re most excited for.
1. KEYNOTE: Jeff Seifert, the chief technology officer of Cisco Canada. Seifert provides technical guidance and direction in key advanced and emerging technologies and go-to-market strategies. His work with many governments, enterprise and service provider customers in Canada and globally is influencing how Cisco brings products to market. During the past sixteen years at Cisco, Jeff has been involved in the successful introduction of many new technologies from the early days of the Internet, through the first deployments of VoIP and IP Telephony through to new transformational video solution. We expect his keynote to be on-point and insightful.
2. BUSINESS TRACK: Derek Colfer, the head of mobile innovation at Visa. Colfer has over 13 years of mobile experience in both North America and Europe. He gained a considerable amount of experience in text, mobile web and location-based mobile innovations for several UK clients including, Heineken, Barclays, and Deutsche Bank. We anticipate learning a lot about mobile innovation from this guy.
3. M2M TRACK: Peter Utzschneider, the vice president of product management for Oracle. Prior to joining Oracle, Utzschneider was at Tangosol, whose revolutionary Coherence Data Grid product provides reliable and scalable data management across the enterprise. At Oracle he continued to grow the success of Coherence as the industry’s leading data grid solution and a key component of Oracle Fusion Middleware. He has spent over 19 years successfully marketing and selling best-of-breed software solutions in Europe and the US by leveraging his ability to translate early market demand into broader market adoption, a background which should pave the way for a great presentation at the event.
It’s not too late to get early-bird pricing for the Wireless Summits. The early-bird special knocks a cool 20% off the regular ticket price if you purchase before December 31.
