Toronto-based Tenzing Managed IT Services, a provider of hosting solutions for e-commerce System Integrators and Software-as-a-Service providers, announced today that it has partnered with Intershop Communications, a provider of multi-channel e-commerce solutions.
Under the terms of the agreement, Tenzing will provide “fully managed IT services tuned to support Intershop solutions.” The partnership will “initially focus on B2B and discreet manufacturing customers, as well as Intershop’s independent software vendor partners with a variety of fully managed services and hosting options.”
“Intershop’s commerce platform is an industry leader in the B2B space,” says Brian Shepard, Tenzing’s Founder and CEO. “It’s a robust offering—for the discrete manufacturing space in particular—that allows customers to aggregate and manage multiple business channels and complex selling scenarios on a single platform. By partnering with Intershop, Tenzing is building on its existing expertise in hosting e-commerce solutions to better support Intershop customers, while expanding our reach to e-commerce ISVs on a global basis.”
“Tenzingis trusted by leading e-commerce SIs and SaaS Providers to deliver business-critical Internet applications for some of the world’s largest companies,” says Tjip Sugijoto, Managing Director, Americas, Intershop. “Tenzing’s full portfolio of managed IT services and Tier 1 data centers will help Intershop and our customers meet the highest standards for delivering e-commerce and SaaS services globally while maintaining a level of operations that is required by high-equity brands. Tenzing has a deep background in business continuity and regulatory compliance that also brings a level of comfort to both our established enterprise clients as well as emerging brands who realize that it is not enough to just put a store up; it has to be an extension of your overall go-to-market strategy.”
