User Interface Analyst – The Active Network

The Active Network is currently seeking a User Interface Analyst to prototype, design, and build graphic user interfaces (GUIs) for software development, Web forms, and other applications. The User Interface Analyst will be primarily responsible for the development and refinement of rich and scalable user interfaces and screen concepts. This includes:

  • Capturing user requirements through collaboration with Business Analysts, Product Managers, and Development
  • Leading and participating in testing sessions
  • Coordinating final implementation of the GUI based on feedback
  • Establishing common User Interface design standards


  • Minimum 2 years of graphical user interface design experience, including one year building usability prototypes
  • Minimum 2 years of experience applying human factors to software development processes
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, computer graphics, industrial design, computer science, human-computer interaction, cognitive psychology, or a related field
  • Excellent user interface and graphic design knowledge and skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Experience with Photoshop, PowerPoint, Flash, Flex, and/or Fireworks
