Vancouver’s Mobio helps Children’s Miracle Network go high-tech

Vancouver’s Mobio Identity Systems, an mobile payments and marketing company, has partnered with the Children’s Miracle Network, which will act as distribution points for Mobio-enabled campaigns and programs designed to raise awareness and raise funds for CMN hospitals.

The CMN will be able to bring that fundraising success into the 21st century through Mobio’s powerful mobile commerce platform. The public will be able to donate anywhere a Mobio barcode is displayed. CMN’s network has already begun to incorporate Mobio technology in a number of creative ways including Dairy Queen, which is in the process of creating eight million Mobio-enabled Blizzard cups for its Miracle Treat Day in August – just pull out your smartphone while enjoying your DQ treat and scan the cup to donate.

“Mobio will allow CMN and its partners to dramatically expand their reach and influence a younger and more mobile demographic, said Perry Esler Vice President, Radiothon & Corporate Development, Children’s Miracle Network. “With Mobio, existing and potential donors can donate in places and ways we could have never imagined back in 1984.”

“Partnering with one of the most recognizable fundraising brands in North America is an honor, said Mark Binns, Chief Marketing Officer, Mobio Identity Systems. “With CMN and its partners, Mobio will facilitate a new level of donor interaction and add a little high tech magic to support the miracles they create every day.”
