Vancouver’s Work at Play launches playoff-customized Canucks sports app

Vancouver-based digital agency Work at Play has launched a Work at Play Sports App customized for the Vancouver Canucks playoff run.

Running on any device supporting Adobe Air, the app, which can be downloaded for free from the official Canucks website, enables fans to connect with the team during the heated playoff season. Tracking game scores, player stats, and news, as well as offering notifications for things like goals, it’s a must-have for any hardcore hockey fan.

“We’ve been providing results-driven user engagement strategies optimizing the best technologies and social media tools for years and we’re pleased to support the Vancouver Canucks in their playoff endeavours,” says David Gratton, CEO of Work at Play, which has worked with the Canucks organization since 2010. “These are exciting times for Canucks fans everywhere including the Work at Play team. We believe the Canucks will go all the way this year and we’re proud to be part of what is sure to be an historic journey.”

The app, while clearly branded in Vancouver Canucks colours and logos, does go the extra mile and offer up scores of other teams’ games too, making it a fairly inclusive little widget that will serve you well as the ‘Nucks vie for the epic Stanley Cup.

Work at Play previously crafted Canucks Social, which utilized the company’s social media aggregator and “engagement engine.”
