Vote for the Next Great Innovator in Banking

This year RBC’s Next Great Innovator Challenge asked university and college students from across Canada to “Suggest an innovative concept, product or process from another region or different industry that Canadian financial services providers should adopt.” Submissions were received from 24 universities and colleges across Canada and the top four finalists were selected by the RBC Innovation Council.

The Council also chose five additional submissions for the web-based peer voting selection process, which started on January 9th, and shifts the power to anyone with a computer to choose the fifth finalist. Competing for more than $45,000 in total prizes, the top five teams will go to Toronto for final evaluation by the RBC Next Great Innovator judging panel consisting of some of RBC’s top executives.

In the era of social media, RBC understands the importance of diversity and user-generated content. Peer voting allows the public to also have a voice in the products or services they would like to see offered at RBC.
