When it comes to getting swamped by daily deals, let them eat cake

If you’ve got a sweet tooth for daily deals, but are feeling the pounds piling on now that you’re receiving dozens of messages a day with huge savings, your diet needs more cake.

CakeDeals.com, a Vancouver start-up launched this past September, is making the hunt for daily deals meaner, and more importantly, leaner. CakeDeals aggregates 13 social buying, daily deal websites, including Groupon, LivingSocial and TownHog, and sends you every deal offered by those websites in one email each day. No more getting spammed by dozens of deal sites a day, nomore checking a dozen websites; in one email, you can find out if there’s something for you today or not.

CakeDeals — still currently in beta — is available in seven Canadian cities: Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Winnipeg and Vancouver. As well, Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York, San Fransisco and Seattle portals are set up in the U.S., and more cities are being added on both sides of the 49th parallel.
