Who to watch at GROW 2010: Tom Conrad

growTomGROWer of the Day: Tom Conrad

Tom Conrad is currently the chief technical offer at Pandora, an internet radio service (restricted, unwillingly, to the U.S.). There, here handles everything from product management and user interface design to software development and network operations.

Tom has led a busy career. Over the years, he’s led several engineering and product design teams through a wide range of applications. His resumé runs the gamut, from operating systems and enterprise software to video games and consumer websites.

Sticking to the technical theme, Tom was previously the technical director for a video game series called “You Don’t Know Jack.” He was also the vice-preisdent of engineering at Kenamea.

Tom’s lively career, which also saw him managing engineering at Pets.com, began at Apple, where he worked on the Macintosh. He has a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan and holds three U.S. patents.

His participation in Grow is as involved as his career: on top of being the discussion leader for Day 1 (Engage), he is also presenting “The Long Winding Road” on Day 2 (Inspire).
