Wind Mobile Completes Network Upgrades in Vancouver, Moves on to Calgary

Wind Mobile has completed a significant upgrade to its network infrastructure in Vancouver.

The result is better coverage, faster data speeds, and improved call quality. As a Wind customer I have definitely noticed very real speed increases; in urban sections the speeds now rival those of Rogers, Telus, and Bell.

“We are really pleased to have completed another leg in our network upgrade journey. It is gratifying that we are already hearing from customers that they are experiencing a noticeable improvement in their service,” said Alek Krstajic, CEO.

Similar enhancements are now underway on Wind’s Calgary area network, according to Krstajic.

Wind is now owned by Shaw, and while these upgrades are an excellent step forward, consumers worry that the company’s prices will soon climb.
