This week WIND Mobile announced that all customers will have access to better service while traveling outside of the WIND Unlimited zone within Canada.
By adding an additional domestic partner network (Telus), WIND has improved its service throughout Canada, growing coverage area by 14% nationwide—specifically 40% in British Columbia and 16% in Alberta, adding 177,000 square kilometers of coverage within Canada.
WIND now claims to cover 1.2 million square kilometers across Canada and reach 97% of the population.
“Our data shows that Canadians living in our Unlimited coverage areas do tend to travel outside of their home zone for work or pleasure,” said Mirko Rugarli, Chief Marketing Officer, WIND Mobile. “That’s why at WIND, we are dedicated to improving our customers’ experience across Canada and the U.S. – providing them with the freedom to use their phone when they travel.”
“We’ve also been listening to customer feedback and have continued to extend our Unlimited footprint, most recently adding Brantford, with even more aggressive plans for expansion planned for the coming year,” Rugarli added.
