As Research In Motion gets ready to launch BlackBerry 10 later this month, wireless carriers are voicing their support for the company’s next generation of smartphones.
Executives at Amercia’s biggest carriers—Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile—have all announced they will be carrying RIM’s forthcoming devices.
A subtly hopeful Verizon CEO Lowell McAdam said little more than “we’ll carry it,” but T-Mobile CEO broke the ice and told Reuters that his company is “extremely optimistic [BB10] is going to be a successful product” and added that “our business customers are extremely interested in it.”
RIM is slated to reveal BB10 in full on January 30. The company’s stock has rallied modestly around the growing hype of the mobile platform, which everyone agrees will make or break the Waterloo-based smartphone maker.
