{"id":118828,"date":"2020-10-20T15:01:47","date_gmt":"2020-10-20T19:01:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.borndigital.com\/?p=118828"},"modified":"2020-10-20T15:01:47","modified_gmt":"2020-10-20T19:01:47","slug":"adobe-unveils-ai-updates-to-photoshop-illustrator-and-more","status":"publish","type":"magazine","link":"https:\/\/brainstation.io\/magazine\/adobe-unveils-ai-updates-to-photoshop-illustrator-and-more","title":{"rendered":"Adobe Unveils AI Updates to Photoshop, Illustrator, and More"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Need to Know\u00a0<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Adobe has shared a slew of updates to its Creative Cloud suite of services during its Adobe MAX conference, including AI updates to Photoshop, Lightroom, and Illustrator.<\/li><li>The iconic software brand has also updated its Cloud Documents service to help teams work better together.<\/li><li>Through Adobe\u2019s Content Authenticity Initiative, the company hopes to help creators get credit for the work and slow the spread of misinformation.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Analysis\u00a0<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adobe has released updates to its Creative Cloud suite of services, which include significant innovations in features for its most popular applications, like Photoshop and Illustrator.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businesswire.com\/news\/home\/20201020005316\/en\/Adobe-MAX-2020-Enabling-%E2%80%98Creativity-for-All%E2%80%99-with-Creative-Cloud-Innovation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">an announcement at Adobe MAX<\/a>, the creative software company\u2019s annual conference, Adobe shared the groundbreaking new features to its flagship applications, as well as the new tools it will provide to help teams collaborate better, expand their skill sets, and even help prevent the spread of misinformation.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adobe\u2019s iconic <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2020\/10\/20\/adobe-photoshop-gets-new-ai-smarts-with-neural-filters-sky-replacement-and-more\/\" target=\"_blank\">Photoshop<\/a> application will now come with AI features. The new Sky Replacement tool means Photoshop can now automatically recognize the sky in a photo and replace it with a \u201csky\u201d of your choosing. The Neural Filters tool is the new-and-improved generation of Photoshop filters, which will help improve portraits. Editors can now change where people are looking, change the angle of the light source, and change details like hair thickness or the intensity of a smile. And Photoshop\u2019s \u201cintelligent refine edge\u201d tool has been improved to reduce a lot of manual work and save the photo editor\u2019s sanity.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The software brand\u2019s popular <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2020\/10\/20\/adobe-illustrator-launches-on-ipad-and-fresco-on-iphone\/\" target=\"_blank\">Illustrator<\/a> platform also received an upgrade, launching for the first time on iPad. The iPad version of Illustrator supports Apple Pencil, allowing for a more streamlined stylus-friendly approach to editing. The new update includes 18,000 fonts and new features like radial, grid, and mirror repeat and the desktop version lets users change entire color themes in one click using the Recolor Artwork feature.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And photo editing software <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2020\/10\/20\/adobe-lightroom-gets-a-new-color-grading-tool-auto-versions-graphical-watermarking-and-more\/?guccounter=1\" target=\"_blank\">Lightroom<\/a> also got an upgrade, now featuring a new Color Grading tool that will replace the existing \u201csplit toning\u201d feature. The new upgrade also includes auto versioning that\u2019s saved in the cloud, graphical watermarks, and AI technology to pick out your \u201cbest\u201d photos.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other updates to the Adobe Creative Suite include an iPhone option for Fresco, AI-powered Speech to Text for the Premiere Pro app, and After Effects\u2019 new AI-powered Roto Brush 2.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The creative software giant has also expanded some other elements of its portfolio to allow teams to work together more effectively.
