\"Magmic'sOttawa’s Magmic Games<\/a> has brought the classic Rubik’s Cube puzzle to the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.<\/p>\n

The game puts a virtual cube on a touch screen where it can be rotated until the colours line up properly. For the frustrated or just lazy, the game can also solve the cube for you.<\/p>\n

“Rubik’s Cube is the greatest puzzle ever invented,” said Magmic’s Director of Product Management, Jeff Bacon in a press release<\/a>.<\/p>\n

 “We were excited to take it to a powerful smartphone, and to enrich the experience. It’s nothing short of a rebirth for this amazing invention.”<\/p>\n

The Magmic Rubik’s Cube app is the first and so far only official virtual Rubik’s Cube endorsed by inventor Erno Rubik.<\/p>\n

While the game includes the classic 3x3x3 cube, additional challenges can be played with larger cubes as well as the “extra-challenging CRAZY Cube.”<\/p>\n

For those who’ve obtained the new iPhone 4, the game takes full advantage of the new gyroscope and provides a full 360-degree view.<\/p>\n

Other features include 3D mode and cube personalization.<\/p>\n

Interestingly, it also has a “solver” for real Cubes. Use the iPhone’s camera to take a picture of an actual Rubik’s Cube and the game will figure out the solution.<\/p>\n
