{"id":33967,"date":"2011-10-25T10:10:00","date_gmt":"2011-10-25T06:10:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/?p=33967"},"modified":"2011-10-25T10:10:19","modified_gmt":"2011-10-25T06:10:19","slug":"torontos-just-eat-canada-acquires-grubcanada-and-adds-to-their-menu","status":"publish","type":"magazine","link":"https:\/\/brainstation.io\/magazine\/torontos-just-eat-canada-acquires-grubcanada-and-adds-to-their-menu","title":{"rendered":"Toronto&#8217;s Just-Eat Canada Acquires GrubCanada and adds to their menu"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float: right;\" src=\"\/public\/cache\/company\/250x125\/14441_just_eat_255255255.png\" alt=\"\" \/>Toronto&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.Just-Eat.ca\">Just-Eat Canada<\/a> announced this morning that they have        <a href=\"http:\/\/www.businesswire.com\/news\/home\/20111025006259\/en\/Just-Eat-Canada-Acquires-Grubcanada\">acquired<\/a> GrubCanada.<\/p>\n<p>With this acquisition, Just-Eat is now able to offer online consumers access        to over 1,000 delivery restaurants across the country and justifying their claim to be &#8220;Canada&rsquo;s largest and fastest growing online food ordering service&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bwalignl\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.GrubCanada.com\">GrubCanada<\/a> was launched in 2008 by young entrepreneurs Howard Migdal and Ross        Lipson. The company was recently highlighted on CBC&rsquo;s Dragons Den where they       accepted an offer of $200k for 50% of the company from Brett        Wilson. Typical of many deals stuck on the Den, it was never completed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bwalignl\">The acquisition of GrubCanada.com adds over 200 new neighbourhood        restaurants in Ontario and British Columbia to Just-Eat Canada and is        its second acquisition in 2011.
