{"id":57640,"date":"2014-08-18T02:08:00","date_gmt":"2014-08-18T10:08:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/?p=57640"},"modified":"2014-08-18T01:08:31","modified_gmt":"2014-08-18T09:08:31","slug":"pressboard-looks-to-replicate-canadian-success-in-us","status":"publish","type":"magazine","link":"https:\/\/brainstation.io\/magazine\/pressboard-looks-to-replicate-canadian-success-in-us","title":{"rendered":"Pressboard Looks to Replicate Canadian Success in US"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 11px 33px; float: right;\" src=\"https:\/\/farm4.staticflickr.com\/3838\/14957449471_f2b4dcf3b2_b.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"333\" height=\"209\" \/>Five months after launching in Canada, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pressboardmedia.com\">Pressboard<\/a> is eyeing an expansion into the US market.<\/p>\n<p><!-- pagebreak --><\/p>\n<p>The Vancouver-based marketplace that connects brands and publishers around sponsored stories, which <a href=\"http:\/\/www.techvibes.com\/blog\/pressboard-brands-sponsor-content-publishers-2014-04-23\">launched in April<\/a>, says it has seen &#8220;significant client interest from major brands,&#8221; including Telus and Best Buy.<\/p>\n<p>Research from The Content Marketing Institute and Marketing Profs shows that <a href=\"http:\/\/contentmarketinginstitute.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/B2C_Research_2014-withlinks.pdf\">90% of marketers are already using content marketing<\/a> and the number one challenge that marketers face is a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marketingprofs.com\/charts\/2013\/11759\/2014-b2b-content-marketing-benchmarks-budgets-and-trends\">lack of time<\/a>. This is the space that Pressboard cofounder Jerrid Grimm wants his startup to operate in.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We built Pressboard to make content partnerships between brands and influential storytellers a better experience for all parties involved,&#8221; he explains. &#8220;We knew that technology could help to alleviate the resource drain and scaling challenges that existed.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The platform, which Grimm describes as &#8220;forward-thinking,&#8221; marries editorial content with suitable brand partners.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The data is already showing how much power good content has on key brand metrics,&rdquo; Jerrid says. &#8220;When people come from a sponsored story they are already highly qualified and uber engaged with the brand.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Pressboard says it is currently in discussions with strategic investors, advisors and beta partners for their US launch, and the company <a href=\"http:\/\/www.techvibes.com\/job\/cupid-of-content\" target=\"_blank\">is hiring<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Five months after launching in Canada, Pressboard is eyeing an expansion into the US market.
