{"id":59623,"date":"2014-12-04T12:12:00","date_gmt":"2014-12-04T08:12:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/?p=59623"},"modified":"2014-12-04T12:12:03","modified_gmt":"2014-12-04T08:12:03","slug":"cossette-lab-triggerfox-wattage","status":"publish","type":"magazine","link":"https:\/\/brainstation.io\/magazine\/cossette-lab-triggerfox-wattage","title":{"rendered":"Cossette Lab Toronto Names TriggerFox and Wattage First Tech Startups"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float: right; margin: 5px 15px;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.adnews.com\/images\/m33087.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"155\" \/>The Cossette Lab in Toronto has named TriggerFox and Wattage as the first startups it will help in taking ideas from concept to reality.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cossette.com\/en\/lab\">Cossette Lab<\/a> is a national Cossette initiative designed &#8220;to help incubate the growth of tech-related startups.&#8221; Cossette Lab launched in Cossette&rsquo;s Montreal office in 2012 and eight startups have participated in the initiative to date.<\/p>\n<p><!-- pagebreak --><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wattage.io\/\" target=\"_blank\">Wattage<\/a> is an online platform that eliminates the complexity of building electronics so anyone can create and sell beautifully designed devices with nothing more than a browser and their imagination.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>RELATED:<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.techvibes.com\/blog\/startup-incubator-opens-in-toronto-2014-07-30\">New Startup Incubator Opens in Toronto, to be Headed by Former MaRS Manager<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.triggerfox.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">TriggerFox<\/a>&nbsp;is an enhanced relationship management tool that helps you make the most of your business connections through a mobile app that leverages your social media accounts, calendar and email.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Having the opportunity to work in such a beautiful and collaborative working environment is very rare for an early stage start-up like us,&rdquo; says Jeremy Bell, Co-Founder and CEO of Wattage Inc., &ldquo;That, and the support of the Cossette team, will definitely help us build a better product.&rdquo; Bell was also a partner at the interactive design agency, Teehan+Lax, for six years before utilizing his expertise and experience to create Wattage Inc.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The opportunity to work, learn and grow with&nbsp;Cossette&nbsp;was something that we simply couldn&#8217;t pass up,&rdquo; says Frank Falcone, Founder and CEO at TriggerFox, &ldquo;We see&nbsp;Cossette Lab&nbsp;as being a great fit in terms of helping us refine and improve our user experience, branding and go-to market strategy.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>TriggerFox and Wattage were chosen out of 10 Toronto-based startups who were shortlisted to pitch their projects to the Cossette office. &ldquo;The startups are already engaged with the agency and collaborating with us,&rdquo; says Joe Dee, Lead of Cossette Lab and Cossette&nbsp;VP Product and Technology Strategy, &ldquo;We are exposed to creative opportunities we haven&rsquo;t had before and are already seeing the benefits of interacting with them.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The startups have moved into Cossette&rsquo;s office space and will stay for a period of six to 12 months.
