{"id":64231,"date":"2015-08-28T05:08:00","date_gmt":"2015-08-28T01:08:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/?p=64231"},"modified":"2015-08-27T10:08:32","modified_gmt":"2015-08-28T06:08:32","slug":"airvm-series-a-rho-build","status":"publish","type":"magazine","link":"https:\/\/brainstation.io\/magazine\/airvm-series-a-rho-build","title":{"rendered":"AirVM Raises $8 Million Series A Round from RHO Canada Ventures, Others"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float: right; margin: 5px 15px;\" src=\"https:\/\/farm1.staticflickr.com\/682\/20916467736_5e796309c0_o.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"83\" \/>Ottawa&#8217;s AirVM, a cloud management platform company, today announced it has closed $8 million in Series A funding.<\/p>\n<p><!-- pagebreak --><\/p>\n<p>Led by RHO Canada Ventures, joined by Build Ventures, and current investor Wesley Clover, the Series A financing positions AirVM for continued global growth as they scale to meet the demand for their cloud management platform, AirSembly.<\/p>\n<p>The company says it will also leverage this funding to expand into new regions, new cloud services, and new platform technologies.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;AirVM has grown tremendously in 2015, and as we continue to add new partners, this Series A financing ensures ongoing innovation and growth to meet the demands of the cloud industry,&#8221; said Joshua Vautour, founder of AirVM. &#8220;We will continue to build on our momentum as the leading VMware cloud management platform company and expand into new markets.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;AirVM solves real problems for its customers in a market that offers the potential for sustained growth,&#8221; said Sean Brownlee, Partner of Rho Canada Ventures. &#8220;With its strategic relationships and proven products, the company is very well positioned to take advantage of the opportunity.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The cloud is the defining technology of our time.
