Independent tests by professional sound specialists found the room to clock it at -20.6 dB, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.canadianmanufacturing.com\/manufacturing\/canadian-firm-helps-microsoft-break-guinness-record-for-quietest-place-on-earth-156046\/\" target=\"_blank\">according to Canadian Manufacturing<\/a>, handedly defeating the old record of -13 dB, which was also held by an Eckel-made chamber.<\/p>\n<p>Calm breathing, by comparison, is +10 dB.
