Many of the 40 girls who participated were on scholarships, supported by FreshBooks and other sponsors, including Georgian Partners. Over the course of 5 days, the girls were inspired and empowered to tackle tough global problems using technology.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/NcHAuk-XW1o\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;\">Seeing the girls&rsquo; passion for using technology to make the world a better place left us feeling inspired about the work we do every day, empowering entrepreneurs to run their businesses via the cloud.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;\">FreshBooks says that while the experience was transformative for the girls who participated, &#8220;it was also an incredibly uplifting for the FreshBooks staff who participated in teaching and mentoring the girls.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FreshBooks, a cloud-based accounting firm, recently joined up with Girls Learning Code, which runs workshops for girls who want to learn technical skills.
