Nintendo is feeling a little better following Friday’s release of Pokemon Go in Japan<\/a>. Niantic and Nintendo finally released the game at end of a dramatic week which\u00a0included a delayed, (then canceled) release due to leaked details of a McDonalds sponsorship deal which cause a dip in Nintendo stock<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The game developer issued and apologies with the announcement \u00a0“To everyone in Japan: I am sorry to make you wait for so long,” said Jyunichi Masuda, the head of development at Game Freak Inc., the developer of the original Pokemon game. “‘Pokemon Go’ can now be played in Japan.”<\/p>\n

Though the\u00a0game as been\u00a0made available in over 30 countries since its July 6\u00a0launch, this homecoming marks the first to include that includes a sponsorship deal with McDonalds. Several hundred locations of the the fast food chain\u00a0are\u00a0advertised as “gyms” where players can train up their captured monsters for virtual fights.<\/p>\n

The game has become an overnight global phenomenon thought\u00a0not all headlines have been\u00a0positive. A number of car accidents and robberies have bee reported in relation to Pokemon Gamers. Amidst these reports, Japan’s\u00a0National Center of Incident Readiness and Strategy for Cybersecurity released a a nine tip flier warning players of potential pitfalls which include weather warning, where they walk and to look out for scams.<\/p>\n
