At the center of every startup ecosystem is, of course, the startups. They are what everything orbits around. They are the very core of innovation that propels us forward.<\/p>\n

We at Techvibes have been writing about startups for more then a decade now. And we have been celebrating them through our Canadian Startup Awards since 2011.<\/p>\n

This year we have two award categories dedicated to startups: Startup of the Year and New Startup of Year. The latter is for the truly young companies\u2014the ones that launched in 2016.<\/p>\n

Past winners of Startup of the Year include Grow (2015), VarageSale (2014), Thalmic Labs (2013), Indochino (2012), and Wattpad (2011).<\/p>\n
