{"id":80943,"date":"2017-04-20T11:23:59","date_gmt":"2017-04-20T15:23:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/techvibes.com\/?p=80943"},"modified":"2017-04-20T11:23:59","modified_gmt":"2017-04-20T15:23:59","slug":"uber-launches-central-unlocking-new-capabilities-for-businesses","status":"publish","type":"magazine","link":"https:\/\/brainstation.io\/magazine\/uber-launches-central-unlocking-new-capabilities-for-businesses","title":{"rendered":"Uber Launches &#8216;Central&#8217;, Unlocking New Capabilities For Businesses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Uber has expanded its business offerings with the launch of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uber-central.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Uber Central<\/a>, a new customer transportation solution.<\/p>\n<p>Central builds on Uber for Business, a platform designed to give organizations a more efficient way to manage their business travel and improve their employees\u2019 experience.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;With Uber Central, organizations of all shapes and sizes\u2014from small nonprofits to Fortune 500 companies\u2014can now easily provide on-demand, door-to-door transportation for their customers, clients, and guests,&#8221; says Greg Greiner, Head of Product, Uber for Business.<\/p>\n<p>With Central, Uber says that businesses can give customers or clients a door-to-door experience by requesting a ride on their behalf. Customers don\u2019t need to have an Uber account\u2014or even a smartphone\u2014to use the service.<\/p>\n<p>The service, which Uber hopes replaces &#8220;inefficient, expensive shuttles and car services,&#8221; includes access to digital billing, reporting, and management tools.<\/p>\n<p>Uber has a lot of room to grow on the business side, where adoption has been slow.
