But when in transit, in the middle of a class or even at the gym, finding a quiet moment isn\u2019t necessarily granted.<\/p>\n<p>Camp Pacific, a Vancouver-based creative agency, has created the <a href=\"https:\/\/onlinemomentofsilence.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Online Moment of Silence<\/a> to automatically share a \u2018silent post\u2019 this Saturday to disrupt the photos, videos and messages shared on the social feeds.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWithout the help of formal events or assemblies, many young people forget to pay their respects with a moment of silence on Remembrance Day at 11 a.m.,\u201d said Greg Kietlyka, copywriter at Camp Pacific.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe wanted to ensure that anyone checking their feeds at this time was reminded to take a moment to remember those who have lost their lives to conflict, past and present,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_97192\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-97192\" style=\"width: 1114px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-97192 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/d3ghupt9z9s6o0.cloudfront.net\/app\/uploads\/2017\/11\/13095912\/Veterans_v2.png\" alt=\"Veterans_v2\" width=\"1114\" height=\"696\" srcset=\"https:\/\/d3ghupt9z9s6o0.cloudfront.net\/app\/uploads\/2017\/11\/13095912\/Veterans_v2.png 1114w, https:\/\/d3ghupt9z9s6o0.cloudfront.net\/app\/uploads\/2017\/11\/13095912\/Veterans_v2-300x187.png 300w, https:\/\/d3ghupt9z9s6o0.cloudfront.net\/app\/uploads\/2017\/11\/13095912\/Veterans_v2-768x480.png 768w, https:\/\/d3ghupt9z9s6o0.cloudfront.net\/app\/uploads\/2017\/11\/13095912\/Veterans_v2-1024x640.png 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1114px) 100vw, 1114px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-97192\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">These are the automated posts Camp Pacific hopes Canadians will sign up for to flood social feeds with the blank posts on November 11.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The company is letting Canadians sign up online to schedule an automated blank post on their Twitter or Facebook account on November 11 at 11 a.m. in their time zone. The all-white image will be hashtagged with #ShareYourSilence.<\/p>\n<p>Camp Pacific hopes the digital activation will garner enough participation to silence Facebook and Twitter feeds alongside the traditional moment of silence.<\/p>\n<p>The campaign has received support from Heritage Minister M\u00e9lanie Joly, The Royal Canadian Legion BC\/Yukon Command and Saskatchewan Command, and The Vimy Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>Canadians can sign up online <a href=\"https:\/\/onlinemomentofsilence.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A new campaign wants Canadians to extend the moment of silence on Remembrance Day to their social media feeds.
