He is coming to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/borndigital.com\/2017\/01\/30\/killer-spaces-lightspeed-montreal\" target=\"_blank\">Montreal-based Lightspeed<\/a> from his former company Visto, an adtech company based in New York City that received backing from Accel and iNovia. Vandermay served as the CTO for Visto as well, overseeing the transformation of the company from an advertising media service provider to a technology platform by building a SaaS enterprise that could operate between several types of technologies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am thrilled to join Lightspeed during this significant period of global growth and work alongside the team to advance development,\u201d said Vandermay. \u201cLightspeed is a team of innovators, whose renowned advancements in omnichannel and POS technology allows restaurants, retail entrepreneurs, and business owners to seamlessly grow and manage their businesses.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Before Visto, Vandermay worked as the VP of product development\u00a0at\u00a0Dassault Syst\u00e8mes GEOVIA for three years where he oversaw\u00a0global engineering and product management. As the new CTO, Vandermay will also curate a blog series entitled Lightspeed talks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s incredible to welcome John back to Canada and into our Lightspeed community, at the height of growth in our development sector.
