This course teaches the core, industry-standard UX and product design process, with AI integrated to accelerate research and strategy. You will move through the full design workflow:

• UX Strategy & AI-Powered ResearchConduct user research, interviews, and persona development, using AI to accelerate research and synthesis.
• Information Architecture & PrototypingStructure information, map user and task flows, and build wireframes and interactive prototypes in Figma.
• User Interface (UI) DesignDesign polished interfaces with grids, typography, design systems, and style guides.

No prior experience is required. The course is beginner-friendly and does not assume any design or technical background. You will learn the UX and product design process from the ground up, including how to use AI to support your research and strategy, regardless of your starting point.

You will get hands-on experience with the industry-standard design toolkit, centred on Figma for wireframing, prototyping, and UI design. You will use AI tools like ChatGPT to accelerate user research and strategy, and work with accessibility tools such as Stark and Tota11y to design inclusive, accessible products.

Yes. AI is an accelerator, not a replacement for design skill. The core of the course is the full UX and product design process: user research, information architecture, wireframing and prototyping, UI design, and usability and accessibility. AI is used to speed up research and strategy, but the foundational design skills remain the heart of the programme.

You will build portfolio-ready work as you progress through the course, applying each stage of the design process to real-world projects. The final part of the course focuses on developing your portfolio, so you finish with design work you can showcase to employers and put to use in your career.

This course is beginner-friendly and designed to be compatible with people from all professional backgrounds and career paths. It's well suited to anyone looking to transition into Product Design or UX Design, or to enhance their existing UX skills. No prior experience is required to get started.

Classes are taught live by experienced product and UX designers who work in roles at top companies (like Amazon, Meta, and Microsoft). They bring real-world experience designing digital products used by millions and use AI in their own work, so you get practical insights into what it takes to get hired and thrive as a product designer.

The course is a part-time, 8-week programme designed for working professionals. It requires 3 hours of live instruction per week, which you will attend in person at one of our locations in either New York, Toronto, or London, or entirely live online. Students typically spend an additional 2 to 4 hours per week applying what they've learned to their hands-on design work.
