500 Startups Canada Announces First Close of $30 Million Fund
Last March 500 Startups announced a $30 million dollar Canadian fund that would be early-stage focused across all sectors.
Today the 500 Startups Canada team announced they have completed their first close at $15 million from several investors including Globalive Capital, W Investments, and software studio TWG.
500 Startups Canada has already made a handful of investments co-investing alongside many top-tier VC funds, such as Felicis Ventures, Real Ventures, OMERS Ventures, and BDC.
Among the 500CAN investments to date are AmpMe, Avidbots, Element.ai, Mejuri, Motörleaf, and Synervoz.
500 Startups Canada will also co-invest alongside many of the companies accepted into the 500 Startups Seed Programs in San Francisco and Mountain View, California.
500 Startups Seed Stage Program co-investments from Batch 19 include Homigo, Hykso, and InnerSpace.
