Canadian Startup Learndot Sheds Beta, Launches Web Signup and Free Plan
In 2011, Matygo gradutated from Vancouver-based accelerator GrowLab and went on to raise $515,000 in seed money. Last November, the Canadian startup launched a restricted beta. This week, the company has pulled out of beta.
Learndot saw solid interest during its beta phase—in fact, too much interest. The company was forced to turn down business because its system was not efficient enough to handle the load. That problem is now fixed, however, and with a streamlined process, the beta-free service can now take on more customers.
Learndot has launched a web signup, so users can start their two-week trial in a matter of a few clicks. The company has also added a “forever free” plan, which allows users to access the service with certain restrictions at no charge.
“Until now we’ve kept kept our work under a pretty close lid. We are very excited to crack the lid open,” the startup says. “This is an exciting step towards our vision of helping every organization build a culture of learning.”
Learndot adds that a “major” new feature will be also revealed in the coming weeks.
