LightSpeed Expands Executive Management Team with Vivonet Cofounder
Montreal’s LightSpeed announced yesterday that it is expanding its executive management team and has appointed co-founder and former Chief Technology Officer of Vivonet, Kevin Falk, as CTO.
Falk will be responsible for overseeing LightSpeed’s technology roadmap and building a world-class team of developers, as the company fuses innovation, technology, and design to produce the most compelling retail business solution on any platform.
An accomplished software innovator and entrepreneur, Falk joins LightSpeed with 20-years of expertise in developing successful point of sale (POS) and enterprise management solutions.
While building Vivonet into one of the fastest growing technology companies in North America, Falk designed and created Halo, the first web-based POS for the restaurant industry. He was also responsible for creating Zata, a sales intelligence platform and benchmarking tool for the retail and hospitality industries.
“Kevin is a strong and proven industry talent, with the expertise and leadership skills required to oversee the future growth of LightSpeed’s technology platform,” said Dax Dasilva, founder and CEO of LightSpeed. “Further, Kevin’s track record in product strategy, development and innovation will be instrumental as we continue to build the next generation of retail tools to enable our clients to deliver the ultimate customer engagement.”
