Vancouver’s Partnerpedia Acquired by BMC Software, Will Remain in Canada
A US software firm has acquired Partnerpedia.
Houston-based BMC Software bought the Vancouver software company, which was founded in 1996 and developed an app store for the enterprise. BMC, which is worth more than $2 billion, did not disclose the financial value of the transaction.
According to Business in Vancouver, Partnerpedia will remain in Vancouver as a Canadian branch for BMC, with CTO Geoff Mair staying with the company.
“The products will continue to be developed in Vancouver,” Mair told Business in Vancouver.
Leveraging the power of social commerce and partner communities, Partnerpedia helps enterprise companies monetize vendor partner strategies through partner enablement, collaboration and go-to-market solutions. In a nutshell, Partnerpedia lets any enterprise’s IT department set up their own branded app store.
Partnerpedia was previously known as Constructive Media and counts Yaletown Venture Partners as an investor.
