Apple to Launch Three iPhones—All with Wireless Charging—This Year, Says Analyst
KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes that Apple will launch three new iPhones this year and that all three models will boast wireless charging.
Kuo said in a research note obtained by MacRumors that the iPhone 8 will possess an OLED display other temperature-regulating features to prevent the device from overheating while charging wirelessly. This will likely make it the most expensive iPhone Apple has ever made from a manufacturing perspective.
The three models are expected to retain existing screen sizes, including the 4.7-inch standard iPhone and the 5.5-inch Plus version.
Apple updates its iPhones every September, however, so we have a while to wait yet.
