Digital Receipt Sensibill Raises $17 Million to Expand, Advance AI Technology

Sensibill has raised $17.3 million in a Series A round led by Information Venture Partners of Toronto with participation from OpenText Enterprise Apps Fund and Operative Capital, reports The Globe and Mail.

The Toronto company, which offers digital receipt technology for banks, will use the influx of capital to accelerate its global expansion and advance the artificial intelligence that powers its products, according to The Globe.

Sensibill, founded in 2013, is rapidly becoming one of Canada’s most promising financial technology startups. Corey Gross, the company’s CEO, told The Globe that Sensibill has plans to expand into the US and the UK next, as well as double down on further developing its technology’s machine learning capabilities.
