Edmonton startup Attassa acquired by Silicon Valley’s YouSendIt
Startup Attassa, an email collaboration tool, has recently been acquired by Silicon Valley’s YouSendIt, a file sharing service. Zosh, an e-signature service, was also acquired. (Terms of the deals were not disclosed.)
“We are excited to welcome Attassa and Zosh into the YouSendIt family,” said Ivan Koon, chief executive officer at YouSendIt. “These acquisitions open up exciting new market opportunities and deepened relationship with our existing customers. The technology and experience these two companies bring will accelerate our immediate and long-term growth.”
Attassa is a Canadian startup founded in 2007 by three entrepreneurs. The startup, which allows for integration of web web apps into Outlook, began in Edmonton, where all three co-founders are from (although they’re now spread across North America from Toronto to San Fran). In fact, co-founder David Quail, a University of Alberta graduate, still supports Startup Edmonton.
