Filemobile Acquired for $5 Million
Filemobile has been acquired.
The Toronto-born company was bought by Australia startup Newzulu.
The transaction is worth more than $5 million, according to Business Insider, with Filemobile generating over $2 million in revenue in 2014.
Newzulu raised $11.5 million in capital this year, valuing the company at nearly $60 million. The Aussie firm will use Filemobile to crack the North American market.
Filemobile, a user-generated content marketing software company, has a robust roster of clients, including USA Today, Wall Street Journal, and CBC.
