Free Public Wifi May Finally Come to Blue Jays Fans at Rogers Centre

In Toronto, the Blue Jays play at the Rogers Centre. Rogers, headquartered in Toronto, is a massive telecommunications company providing internet to millions of Canadians.

Does the Rogers Centre have wifi? No.

A tweet this month from an avid Blue Jays blogger suggests that may soon change, however. “I was told that we can look for an announcement about wifi at Rogers Centre in the near future,” reads the tweet, further evidenced by the recent appearance of a wifi network within the stadium named “Rogers wifi public.”

The Rogers Centre is one of few Major League Baseball stadiums yet to provide free public wifi to fans, alongside the Detroit Tigers and Pittsburgh Pirates, among others.
