Indochino has appoionted Drew Green as the company’s new chief executive officer.
Green’s role as CEO will be to lead the company’s growth strategy and mission to establish the Vancouver-based made-to-measure menswear firm as a leading international, omni-channel apparel brand.
This announcement coincides with what will be a record breaking sales year for Indochino, 2012’s Canadian Startup of the Year in the Canadian Startup Awards.
“After an extensive international search, the Board is thrilled to have an executive of Drew’s caliber leading the company’s growth strategy. Drew brings a proven ability to create and grow shareholder value, and we are confident in his bold vision for building Indochino into a global brand,” said Scott Jacobson, Indochino’s Chairman.
“I believe rapid growth is achieved through a combination of great people, quality products, and partnerships that multiply the potential of unbelievable customer experiences at scale,” said Green. “I look forward to working with the wonderful Indochino team to make it easier for people around the world to purchase high quality, personalized apparel and accessories at a fair price.”
A high-growth management veteran and iconic Internet entrepreneur, Green has spent his entire career connecting online audiences with retailers through advertising technology, e-commerce and marketplace platforms in the United States, UK and Canada, helping to create significant shareholder value over nearly two decades.
Green founded Shop.ca in 2009 and remains a director and the majority shareholder.
Indochino cofounder and outgoing CEO Kyle Vucko will continue as a strategic advisor to the company.
“Founding a company takes courage, resiliency and an uncommon fortitude. Kyle is an outstanding entrepreneur who has fundamentally changed the way men buy suits,” said Green.
