Intel Capital ups Clickfree’s funding to $33 Million
Richmond Hill’s Storage Appliance Corporation announced yesterday that it received an $8 Million Series D investment from Intel Capital that brings its total funding raised to more than $33 Million. Previous investors include Jefferson and Tandem Expansion.
Storage Appliance Corporation is a developer of consumer backup software marketed as Clickfree. Clickfree’s newest innovation is Clickfree Wireless – the world’s first backup product that backs up every PC and Mac without having to be plugged into any of them.
Simply connect Clickfree Wireless to each computer you use with your wireless router. It will perform the initial backup and learn all the wireless settings automatically. After you have connected it once to each of your computers, simply leave it plugged to a power outlet. That’s it. All your computers will be automatically backed up from now on no matter where they are located in the home.
Clickfree is currently available in 35 countries and more than 7,000 retail locations.
