Lenovo Unveils Four New Tablets, Including First Foray into Premium Market

At Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Lenovo today unveiled the new Tab 4 series, a family of built tablets uniquely suited for every member in the household, the company says.

The new devices are the Lenovo Tab 4 8, the Tab 4 10, the 4 8 Plus, and the 4 10 Plus. The first two are minor upgrades to their predecessor, differentiated by screen size, while the Plus models are more powerful, feature-laden versions of their basic brethren—Lenovo’s first attempt into the premium tablet market, where Apple’s iPad Pro and Microsoft’s Surface Pro reign.

All tablets in the Lenovo Tab 4 family run on Android OS 7.0.  The Lenovo Tab 4 8 and Lenovo Tab 4 10 tablets offer HD displays and Quad-core Snapdragon processors, coupled with 2GB of RAM.

The design-forward Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus and Lenovo Tab 4 10 Plus are dual-glass tablets, shielded on the front and back with a layer of protective glass. Each features a 64-bit Octa-Core 2.0GHz processor and 4GB RAM.

The Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus and Lenovo Tab 4 10 Plus come in Sparkling White and Aurora Black. The Tab 4 8 and Tab 4 10 come in Slate Black and Polar White. The devices will be available in May starting at around $200.
