Six Startups to Pitch at Golden Triangle Angel Network Event Next Week
Golden Triangle Angel Network has announced the six startups that will be competing in its highly anticipated pitch competition: GTAN|START taking place on May 17.
GTAN|START is an annual event that celebrates early-stage companies who have demonstrated the originality, skills, and experience necessary to grow.
The six startups will compete for one of three cash prizes: $10,000, $5,000 or $2,000. The three winners will go through GTAN’s accelerated funding process, which allows investments to be secured within a week of the event.
“They will pitch to over 100 Angel investors, venture capitalists and industry leaders from this region and beyond,” explains GTAN’s President, Rob Douglas. “By the end of the evening, the expert panel of judges will vote and award the top three 2016 GTAN|START winners.”
25 dynamic entrepreneurs pitched to GTAN’s selection panel, from which the top six were chosen.
“We want to see startups succeed, and competition is healthy,” says Douglas. “We want to see great ideas turn into inspiring, investible companies, that’s what GTAN|START is about.”
Since inception, 285 GTAN angels have provided $24 million in funding to 54 companies.
