For the third consecutive year the Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF) has teamed up with Spin Master to offer 10 startups $50,000 in loan financing.
The Spin Master Innovation Fund provides entrepreneurs aged 18-39 and their startups with financing, access to expert mentors from CYBF’s mentoring program and a chance to travel to Toronto to meet Spin Master executives. There they can also take part in a two-day Innovation Launch Pad Workshop.
As well as the cash and the opportunity to meet with Spin Master, the winning startups will also gain a connection to CYBF’s community of over 5,000 members through networking and peer-mentoring opportunities, and access to helpful business tools through CYBF’s online Business Resource Centre.
To promote this year’s intake the CYBF is profiling a handful of previous recipients with a Where Are They Now? series of updates. Check out the timeline progress of Montreal’s Merchlar, Toronto’s Twenty One Toys and Montreal’s pplconnect on the CYBF blog.
Canadian startups with entrepreneurs aged 18-39 have until May 21 stto apply to the program. Following this a selection of candidates will be invited to pitch their startup to a panel of Spin Master executives and other mentors.
