TribeHR and Desire2Learn Nominated for Business of the Year Awards
It was recently announced that Waterloo-based TribeHR has been nominated for Business of the Year Award (20 employees or under) in the 2012 Greater Kitchener Waterloo Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards Gala. Kitchener-based Desire2Learn was also nominated for Business of the Year but in the 20 or more employee award category.
This is the first time that both technology companies have been nominated for these distinguished business awards that has seen companies like Open Text (2009) walk away as winners. TribeHR has had a run of award nods recently earning a nomination for Best Overall Startup of 2011 in the First Annual Canadian Startup Awards presented by KPMG.
While TribeHR only has to wait until Friday, January 20th to find out if they can claim the honour of Best Overall Startup of 2011, they and Desire2Learn must wait until February 16th at the Awards Gala to find out if they will be able to claim their possible titles of Business of the Year.
